License help

Your MusicLaunch license works on one Mac at a time. Here's how to get your key again, move MusicLaunch to a new Mac, or add or manage your plan.

Email me my license key

Enter the email address you used when you bought MusicLaunch. We'll send your license key to that address.

Add or manage your team plan

Already own MusicLaunch? You don't need to buy it again. Enter the email address you used when you bought MusicLaunch and we'll email you a link. With it you can add a plan for your team (Backstage Pass, VIP or All Access) to the license you already own. If you already have a plan, the same link lets you switch plans, update your card, see your invoices or cancel.

The link works for 24 hours. At your Mac? It's quicker in the app: Settings → License → Get a subscription, or Manage subscription if you already have a plan.

Plans are billed monthly. A switch takes effect right away, and you pay or are credited the difference. If you cancel, your team stays on until the end of the month you've paid for. Plans need a US billing address for now.

Just came back from checkout or your subscription page? Any change you made is saved. In MusicLaunch, go to Settings → License and click Refresh subscription status. To see the plans again, click the subscription button in the app or request a new link above.

Moving to a new Mac?

Your license works on one Mac at a time. All your MusicLaunch data (releases, contacts, chats with your team and everything else) lives on your Mac, not online. So moving takes three quick steps:

  1. 1 Back up your data on your old Mac. In MusicLaunch, go to Settings → Data Backup → Export Backup. Copy the file to your new Mac (AirDrop, a USB drive or iCloud Drive all work). Using more than one artist profile? Choose Settings → Profiles → Export All Profiles instead. Lots of big videos or recordings? Use Back Up Now to an external drive instead, because Export Backup leaves out very large files.
  2. 2

Free up your license. On your old Mac, go to Settings → License → Deactivate. If you no longer have your old Mac, or it won't start, use the button below instead.

Using Apple's Migration Assistant? Deactivate on your old Mac first, then migrate. On the new Mac, just enter your key.

  3. 3 Set up your new Mac. Install MusicLaunch, enter your license key, then go to Settings → Data Backup → Import Backup (or Settings → Profiles → Import All Profiles). Used Back Up Now? Choose Restore from Folder instead.

Old Mac lost, broken or already wiped?

We'll email you a link that frees up your license, so you can activate MusicLaunch on your new Mac. The link works for 24 hours. For your security, we only send it to the email address you used when you bought MusicLaunch.

You can free up your license up to 3 times in 30 days. Need more? Email hello@musiclaunchapp.com.

Why only one Mac?

MusicLaunch keeps all your data on your own computer instead of in the cloud. That keeps it private and yours. It also means a second Mac would have its own separate copy of everything, and your chats with your team would be split between them. One Mac at a time keeps everything in one place.
