MusicLaunch™ is operated by MBG Creative Services LLC, a California limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application and website (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account & Purchase Information. When you purchase MusicLaunch or subscribe to an AI plan, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full credit card number.

Application Data. MusicLaunch is a desktop-first application. Your campaign data, contacts, calendar entries, budgets, and other project information are stored locally on your computer in a SQLite database. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly share it with us.

AI Interaction Data. If you use our AI-powered features (available via a 30-day trial that begins automatically on first AI use after purchase, or with AI Artist, AI Pro, or AI Enterprise subscriptions), your prompts and the AI-generated responses are processed by our AI service provider. A limited Help Center chatbot (25 queries per day) is also available to all users for product‑usage questions only. We do not use your AI interactions to train AI models.

Anonymous Telemetry. With your consent, we may collect anonymous usage telemetry (e.g., which features are used, crash reports). This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to improve the application. You can opt out of telemetry at any time in Settings > Privacy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process purchases and manage your license or subscription
  • To provide and maintain the Service, including AI features
  • To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, license keys, subscription updates)
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To improve our application based on anonymous, aggregated usage data
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Payment processors to process transactions
  • AI service providers to power AI features within the application
  • License management services to manage subscriptions and license validation
  • Law enforcement if required by law or to protect our legal rights

4. Google User Data & Limited Use

If you choose to connect a Google account, MusicLaunch requests only the following Google OAuth scopes, and only to power the specific features you use:

  • Send email on your behalf (gmail.send) — to send outreach and pitch emails that you compose and explicitly choose to send from your own Gmail account.
  • View your YouTube account (youtube.readonly) — to display your channel stats and recent video performance inside the app.
  • Upload YouTube videos (youtube.upload) — to publish videos you choose to upload to your own channel.
  • Basic profile & email (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile) — to identify the connected account.

Google user data accessed through these scopes is processed locally on your device to provide these features and is not sold, transferred, or used for advertising. We do not use this data to train AI or machine-learning models.

MusicLaunch’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

YouTube API Services. MusicLaunch uses YouTube API Services to provide its YouTube features. By using these features, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

  • What is stored: when you connect YouTube, MusicLaunch stores OAuth tokens encrypted on your device so you stay signed in, and caches your own channel and video statistics locally to display your dashboards. This data stays on your computer — it is not stored on our servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
  • Refresh & retention: cached YouTube data is refreshed each time you use the related features and is not retained independently of your connection.
  • Revoking access: you can disconnect YouTube at any time from the app’s Connect Accounts page, which deletes the stored tokens and cached YouTube data from your device. You can also revoke MusicLaunch’s access in your Google security settings.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Your local application data is protected by your operating system's file permissions and any device-level encryption you have enabled.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and purchase information for as long as your license or subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations. Your local application data remains on your device and is under your control.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict processing of your information
  • Data portability

8. Cookies & Tracking

Our website may use essential cookies to enable core functionality such as payment processing. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.

9. Children's Privacy

MusicLaunch is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
